I purchased this pan for its size. Because I am a sandwich eater (at least one every day) and make my own bread the 4 inch depth and width conformed to the slice size I prefer. As it turned out its non stick coating and heavy duty construction insure that it will last my life time. My other bread pans have been relegated to storage. It makes a beautiful loaf of bread. -- My favorite bread pan
