generally pleased but wish it had a handle. Size is very adequate for us but I can see that for a big family you might want something bigger to handle the long loaves. I used to have a neat box shaped like this one but a little bigger. What I liked about that model was that it had a glass window on the front lid that was decorative as well as functional -- Nice Bread Box
I had been wanting a bread box for quite some time. I had looked in stores and didn't find anything I liked. Everything out there is stainless. I am a wood kind of girl. When I found this one I thought it would be perfect. I was right. The workmanship is good, the price is comparable. It has plenty of room inside for a large loaf of bread and extra's. I love the shelf on the top for that little added touch. I would recommend this to friends. -- love this bread box
